Weight management grand rounds
In-person 3 Jun, 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM (ACST)
Following the release of the RACGP position statement calling for obesity management medication to be listed on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme, the New Fellows SA committee has invited a panel of experts to unpack various weight loss interventions. This session is aimed at assessing the individual patient needs across case studies and the appropriate available interventions for their circumstance.
Through this session, you will gain greater confidence in recommending appropriate weight loss management interventions for patients with diabetes, thyroid or pancreatic issues, and fertility concerns. Support for post-operative bariatric patients with their ongoing weight management will also be discussed.
